Apple Wizard for collecting windfall apples - brilliant! Ordered off Amazon back end of last year (2010) called the company to get another one only to discover it is made in England ! Bloody Brilliant piece of kit.

And the Apple Wizard is still available from amazon.co.uk

Even though I now live in California, I brought my old apple-picking pole with me. It's a very long broom-like handle with a small rope and metal cradle at the top. Not for windfalls of course! I'm curious if anyone else has seen one? I used to live in a XVIth century cottage and found it in a cupboard.
