Days Out in England: Dry Slope Skiing

I lived in the UK for 11 years and I think that this may be something that might appeal to Yanks travelling to the UK.
Dry ski slopes, yes, really.
Since there's no snow skiing in England (although there is in Scotland), they build dry ski slopes.

You ski on a weird surface, like honeycombs of nylon-like brush. It's a total riot. As a ski junkie, I have done this many times.
Warning, use mittens (not gloves) and watch your thumbs. The most common injury is breaking your thumb. It gets caught in the honeycomb when you fall.
