How to buy English food when you're living abroad?

I moved to the US 4 yrs ago and I have tried to find Fray Bentos Steak and Kidney Puddings with no luck!! Do you know of anywhere in the States that sells these??

Answer

Let me tell you that your question is by no means unusual. Apparently there are quite a few expat Brits missing bits of homecooking!

Usually, Britshoppe.com, is a good source for many things, but they
and most of the Brit food stores in the US don't seem to stock Fray Bentos products.

There is, however, the BritSuperStore. They're a company based in Dover who do deliver worldwide. They stock the whole range.

It would be interesting to see how you find them ... (just in case I
can help out another expat Englishman).

Tried it!

Just to let you know I had contacted BritSuperStore and they sent me the Steak and Kidney Puddings. It cost me about 11.00GBP for 6 puddings (224g) and bout 20.00 GBP for shipping. Makes it a little expensive, but I think it is worth it.. :-)
