The day I stayed indoors

by Steve
(Whitley Bay)

It was so wonderful. I had a lie-in, then made a cup of tea and had breakfast watching a movie. I didn't see another soul all day, didn't feel threatened by mindless violence on the street, or on the metro, didn't feel concerned about my appearance, or go to work, or anything.

Comment from Sue:
I can totally empathise with this! Every now and then, staying in is real bliss!
But you have so much wonderful countryside on your doorstep, you could probably escape into the hills and not see a soul all day either. (if you're an outdoorsy sort of person, that is.)
Regards.
